Kids/Teens Self Defense (minimum age: 7)
The major objective of this class is to teach students fundamental techniques from various martial arts and how to effectively use them to protect themselves in a self-defense situation. Other goals of this class include developing athleticism, discipline, self-confidence, focus, and to provide a fun and social environment to learn martial arts.
Adults Mixed Martial Arts (Intermediate & Advanced Only)
The focus of this class is to develop fundamental techniques of effective striking, grappling, and learning how to transition between the two in a Mixed Martial Arts ruleset. The format varies but it’s generally based on pad work, partner drills, situational drills, and sometimes circuit style MMA training. No live sparring during this session. Equipment required for this class is just MMA gloves. We like the 7 oz MMA sparring style gloves but any will suffice. We also recommend a mouth piece, groin protection, shin guards, and water.
Adults Striking Fundamentals (All Experience Levels)
This class is designed to build foundational striking skills, both offensive and defense. The format is similar to the MMA class with a heavy emphasis on pad work. Any level of experience welcome. Equipment required: Big Gloves (12oz+) Also recommended: Shin Guards, Mouth Piece, Groin Protection, and water.
Adults Striking (Intermediate & Advanced Only)
This session is designed to develop timing, reaction time, cardio, body conditioning and coordination through controlled, high-intensity sparring drills. Please ask the Instructor before attending this class. You must be able to demonstrate base fundamentals before you have access to this session. Equipment required: Boxing Gloves(12oz+), Shin Guards, Mouth Piece, Groin Protection, Water.
